GRADE 3

Dear Parents,

I hope you all had a great break spending time with family and friends. The Grade 3 students are looking forward to an exciting term ahead. Milla Barker is a new student in our class and she has settled in really well.

This term in Numeracy there will be a focus on Multiplication, Division and Fractions; Measurement and Geometry: Mass, Volume &Capacity.

In Literacy, the students will be involved in a variety of reading experiences to enhance a love of reading and to further develop reading comprehension strategies. Our writing focus will be on Factual Descriptions. Two of our students will also be participating in the Intercampus Spelling Bee on the 10th of August but the rest of the students will attend the competition as an audience to get an experience of how it runs.

In P.E. students are visiting the sports stadium every Thursday to play badminton. We also started painting our vegie bins during the art session and planted some herbs.

We will also continue to work on resilience and respectful relationships through working in circles and class discussion.

Hope to see your continued support in your child’s education.
